Students Excited for No Line Thursday at Foco

After a term of long lines, limited selection and long lines, students are looking forward to a day of relief this Thursday. Instead of waiting fifteen minutes for a sandwich and ten minutes to check out, students can breeze through, courtesy of the first ever foco no line day.

DDS and a group of enthused students teamed up to organize the first ever no-line day at the new dining facility to combat student frustration over excessive wait times in Foco and to help students get the most out of their meal plan.



Larry Jones ’12 loved the economics of the no line day, “DDS already has my money since it doenst roll over this term, this is just going to make sure I’m getting the most out of it and I don’t have to rush at the end of the term.”

Other students echoed this sentiment.

“I’m so excited to get something from foco after my 10A without waiting in line,” said Beth Klein ’13, “It’s just so convenient to be able to go in and just grab a Chobani to go without taking 20 minutes.”

Sarah Garrett ’12, the student organizer of no-line day, explained that the Thursday of Green Key was the natural choice for the event, “It’s about principle and we know students will make the right choice. If they’re going to be day drinking, we wanted to make it as easy as possible for students to get food from the grill line.”

Even DDS employees were getting excited about no-line day. Kevin told the Dunyun, “Usually Green Key is the worst. I face never-ending lines of kids chanting at me that they want mozz sticks. This should make all of our lives so much easier.”

To counter the threat of no-line day, restaurants in town are fighting for business, offering students discounted prices. Jim Gusanoz guaranteed ten minute deliveries.

The director of DDS declined to comment on whether or not no-line day would become a regular event, not sure why.
